The Martha Stewart Show: Valentine's Day Arrangements February 2008

THE MARTHA STEWART SHOW, FEBRUARY 2008

To make a vibrant Valentine's Day arrangement, use geranium leaves as greenery, roses in two colors (hot pink and red in two shades), some interesting carnations (burgundy with dark pink in the border of the petals), and a touch of pale-pink ranunculus. Two days after making the arrangement, replace the water and add a teaspoon of bleach to extend the arrangement's life for another couple of days or more.

Resources: The silver-plated urn used for this arrangement is from Jamali Garden. Special thanks to New York City floral designer Oscar Mora for demonstrating this arrangement and sharing ways to decorate vases using leaves.
